Earaches in infants and children is also known as Otitis media. Otitis media is a middle-ear inflammation, usually caused by an infection that blocks the Eustachian tube. This can cause considerable pain and discomfort, and is very disturbing to both child and parent. Otitis media is common in children 6 to 36 months of age, and many children have multiple episodes each year.

Chiropractic adjustments of the upper spine and massage of the tissue surrounding the ear can help clear the Eustachian tube blockage that causes Otitis media. We offer a treatment plan featuring gentle adjustments and light neck massage appropriate for very young children, without requiring ineffective antibiotics or even surgery. In addition, we will try to find the cause of the problem by inquiring as to food sensitivities and vitamin deficiencies, and provide dietary and nutritional counseling as well.
